PROGRESS AT WINDSORS NEW TRACK. Toronto. Out.. June 16. — According to reports from Windsor. 125 men are engaged in the construction of the new Kenilworth Iark race track there and the work is progressing most favorably. The first meeting is scheduled to commence in the latter part of August and run into September, taking in Labor Dav. W. K. Norvell, who will l e racing secretary at the new track, was a visitor here this week. He stated he exected that there would be no purse of less value than 00 during the meeting and that at least one handicap of ,000 value would be carded daily. For the opening day it is probable that a handicap with ,500 added will be given. It is the intention of the promoters to hang up purses that will attract a class of horses as good as those racing on any track. Several races for Canadian bred horses will be put on at the new Windsor coarse, including a couple of sprinting races at five and a half furlongs and three-quarters with selling conditions. The two-ytur-old homebred* will also be provided for.
