Now York, June 16. — rrince Henry today demonstrated that he is a high-class selling plater, when won from formidable opposition, including the Brighton Stables Woodward and Fenmouse. The Talbott horse went into an early lead and held sway the end, although Woodward was hard ridden an effort to get on even terms with him in the stretch. The weather was again disagreeable, intermittent showers during the afternoon forcing the crowd to temporary shelter. The racing, however, was spirited and formful on the whole. The Clarendon Handicap, the stellar race of the day. was marred somewhat by the interference from which the heavily -backed Blue Thistle suffered when the barrier went up. The horse was practically knocked to his knees and was in last position while rounding the first turn. He was sent after the leaders and raced into a contending position, but the effort, coupled with the 118 pounds he was asked to carry, proved too much and he finished a licuten off third. Rhine Maiden won over the well-meant Holiday, on which the smart set had wagered extensively. Nonesuch won another paras, when he beat home bad band in the opener, and Key Oak wood scored in perhaps the worst field that has faced the starter this year. The Brighton Stable has purchased from J. E. Madden two more horses, securing Marse Henry and Priscilla at private sale. The five races won by the Brighton Stable have been with Madden horses. W. L. Oliver was an nrrival today from Canada with Kewessa and other horses. James Fitzsimmons has sent Yodeling and Armament to Captain P. M.
