The latter gained steadily until in the final sixteenth, but tired in the last few strides. EROOAIVALE was forced wide while rounding the last turn and in close quarters at the eighth post, but finished fast when clear. TRUE AS STEEL hung on well. GRASB was forced to race wide all the way. The winner, entered for 00, was bid up to ,200 and sold to G. A. Alexandra. RACEBROOK made the pace, but quit finally. REPENTANT was not energetically ridden. ROYAL III. fell at the thirteenth jump and ZELLWOOl refused at the eighth. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
