YALERIE WEST raced in closest pursuit all the way and made a game effort at the eighth post, but tired in the last sixteenth. BOM OTIS was a forward contender from the start. GARISH SUN began slowly and closed a big gap into a fast going second. MISS WATERS raced well and outgamed HEDGE ROSE in the final drive. The latter set the early pace and tired, but held on gamely. HARRY LAUDER and ST. CHARLCOTE quit. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. Scratched— 20855 York Lad, 108.
