POLLY CONNELLY closed a big gap early from a slow beginning. THE CARMET also made up ground. LOUISE GREEN set a fast pace and tired badly in the last quarter. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. NOBLEMAN was hard ridden in the stretch to save third place. WANDA PITZER suffered from interference. MORRISTOWN was always outpaced. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. LOVE ran well, but swerved out in the stretch and had to be hard urged to outstay NETTIE WALCUTT. The latter lost ground on the turns. LYTLE stumbled at the start and lost ground. SOLAR STAR set a fast pace and stayed gamely in the final drive. CAPT. REES had to be taken back when going fastest in the stretch, being badly cut off. HARRY KKLLY acted badly at the post and was much used there, but got away with a slight advantage and set a fast pace and tired slightly near the end. HIGH GEAR raced forward ly all the way. BERLIN was gaining at the end. BUFORD had no mishaps. HIGHLAND LAD finished gamely.
