WINDSORS BIG MEETING STARTS TODAY. Borrow Among the Announced Starters for the Rich Frontier Handicap. Detroit. Mich., July 14. What promises to be the greatest meeting ever held at the Windsor Jockey Tubs track, will begin tomorrow. There are more horses here than ever - before and local interest in the racing is at n high pitch. Twelve new pari-niutuol machines have been installed in tin? betting enclosure since last fall and it is now said to be the most complete inutuel plant in Canada. Many improvements have been made to the plant. New trolley terminals have been constructed, several new stables have been built, now chutes have been added to the track proper and the whole plant has been given an overhauling. The program offered for the opening day is a high-class oiie. with the Frontier .Handicap. ,000 added, as the feature. It has an announced starting list of a dozen of the best horses racing on the circuit. Among them is Harry Payne Whitneys Porrow. which was sent here by trainer Powe to start in tiiis stake. Jockey W. Obert was fined 0 by the stewards for striking jockey A. Nerger with his whip during the running of the seventh race at Fort Erie on Tuesday last. Pefore leaving for Chicago II. G. Pedwell transferred the two-year-old Manokin to the care of Harry Rites, who will take him to Hamilton to fill his stake eilgagemejits at that meeting. There will be a meeting or the Canadian Pacing Associations in the clubhouse at Windsor on Monday. Malcolm MacFarlan was among the arrivals from Kentucky. Cnpt. W. F. Presgrave, who lias spent the past two weeks on a trip wrich included P.altimore, Saratoga and Montreal, will be here on Monday. Among the stables here from Kentucky are those of G. Allen, P. L. Paker, J, II. Paker, P. P. Pradlev. J. Prown, P. J. Prannon, S. Coombs, AV. W. Pardon, F. S Fogg. AV II. Frey, J. W. Fuller. S. Kelly. J. J. Mnrklein, A. P. Mora, P. J. Miles, M. C. Moore, S. Newman. W. Perkins, J. T. Shannon. J. J. Shannon. P. P. Stewart, C. L. Strang, E. M. Vivell and C. T. Worthington. The horses of G. A. Alexandra and Mrs. W. Vale arrived from New York.
