Mr. John San-ford, whose Nassovian put up such a good fight with Fifinella and Kwang-Su in the New Derby recently, has a big team of thoroughbreds in training just now in America, where he also has one of tin; most up-to-date stud farms to be found in tiiat country. His establishment "across the pond" wll shortly be augmented by four yearlings bred in this country, two of which are colts by Tracery, and the others fillies by Lemberg and Neil Sow. Mr. Sanford still has a party of nine well-bred brood mares in this country, which an; managed by Dr. W. F. .Smith. They are located at the Meddler Stud, Newmarket, and consist of Finer dOrange 1011, a bay by William tie; Third Coo-ee by Trenton, which has a brown colt-foal April 15th by Lonawaud. and has been mated witli Radium: Hemlock 1013, a bay by the Derby winner Spearmint from the Oaks victress Keystone II. by Persimmon, which is a maiden and has been covered this season by Llnngibhy; Kaffir Fowl 1!12 a bay by Gallinule Gravosa by Orme. witli a bay colt March 20th by St. Amant, and covered by Lemberg; Kildonan IS!!, a bay by I.adas - Loclmell by P.nrcahline. which has a bay colt May 14th by Willonyx. and has been mated this season with Prince Palatine; the French-bred Louli 1!4 . h bay by Flying Fox Fanny, by Isononiy. which was barren this season and has visited" Tracery; Orange; Lady 1012, a maiden brown by William the Third Lady Cynosure sister to Polvmelus by Cyllene, which has been mated with Llangil.by: Philistia 1012, a bay by Isinglass St. Natalia by Common, witli a bay colt April 23rd by Tracery, and put to Radium: Rys-wick 1012, a chestnut by William the Third Ladv Melton by Melton, which has a chestnut colt April 30th by Cicero, and has been covered this season by John oGaunt; and Scammony 1!0S, a bav bv Sir Visto Samphire by Isinglass, witli a bay filly March 23rd by Junior, and covered by P.ayardo.
