PRESIDENT HEADLEY ON HIS WAY EAST. Lexington, Ky., August 4. President Hal Price Headley of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse Association and master of Beaumont Farm, left here this morning for Saratoga to remain until after the meeting of the board of directors with the Canadian, New York and Maryland committees, which is to be held there, on Monday, August 24. H. McLaughlin, trainer for F. I. Weir, took up ten head of yearlings belonging to his employer and Col. W. E. Applegate and will break them at the Kentucky Association track. John Nichols has up six yearlings belonging to Jefferson Livingston. Gallaher Eros are taking up their youngsters. T. Ii. Pierce has up a dozen youngsters belonging to various owners. Weir will send a man to Texas to bring back Old Rosebud. The famous gelding lias been running out. on range and is said to have improved wonderfully.
