XAUSIION worked his way up on the outside while rounding the far turn and took the lead in the homestretch, but gave way when challenged. ANDES was a forward contender throughout and outstayed AHARA in the final drive. The latter ran a good race. NIGEL was shulilcd back soon after the start, but slipped through next to the rail and closed a big gap. CASH ON DELIVERY had a rough race. The winner, entered for 1916.sh00, was bid up to 05 and bought in. KITTENISH showed excellent speed and, setting a fast pace, raced KULTUR into defeat and drew away in the final eighth, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. PULASKI was shutlled back at the start and raced extremely wide, but closed up with a belated rush in the homestretch and ran a good race. COUNTY COURT was badly knocked about and ran better than the chart shows. POLONIUM closed a gap and appears of the improving sort. TOP O THE AVAAE showed speed. GAINER worked his way in and out throughout and closed up gamely until in the final sixteenth, then tired. CHICLET ran a good race. SHARPSHOOTER closed a big gap. CAPRA quit as if short.
