GALLEY HEAD raced into an easy lead soon jif ter the start and led under restraint for .the, remainder of the race. RE LEE MAHONE came through fast on the inside, but could not get up, although the stable declared to win Avitli her. ISABELLE H. raced well and linished resolutely. BAVARDE closed a gap. ElLOGY outran the others to the first turn and, drawing away on the backstretch, held the race safe all the way. RUSSEL SQUARE was a forward contender for the entire race and shook oft REPTON in the last eighth. The latter ran well and dropped back at the sixteenth post, but came again. The latter was knocked about after beginning slowly." RONEROS FIRST quit after setting a fast pace to the stretch. RECLUSE ran well to the stretch. The winner was entered for 00; 110 bid. KEWESSA began free and clear on the outside and, setting a fast pace all the way, easily drew away in the stretch and won in a canter. PESKY was a forward contender all the way and. easily outstayed ETRUSCAN. The latter was pinched off by the winner after going a sixteenth and meed in closest pursuit to the stretch, then tired. GREAT DOLLY came through 011 the inside in the homstretch and. finishing fast, -would have Avon in a few more strides. FRUIT CAKE raced well and outgamed RURBANK for third place.
