AVon easily: second and third driving. HARD CASH followed DIVERSION closelv in the earlv running, then -drew" away in the final eighth and won casing up. STAR MASTER was hard ridden throughout and, after being forced wide on the stretch turn, closed up steadily when straightened out and passed QUEEN OF THE AAATER in the final sixteenth. QUEEN OF THE WATER saved ground on all turns and hung on gamely to the finish. DIAERSION displayed the most speed to the eighth post and tired. MIDWAY raced extremely wide all the way. SANDOW showed the most speed and fenced in fearless fashion, but was made too much use of and tired badly near the end. SIXTY-FOUR fenced well and easily held SYOSSET safe at the finish. SYOSSET was under pressure all the way. but could never improve his position. TRADITIONER lost his rider at the thirteenth jump and RACEBROOK fell at the first. BLIND BAGGAGE was away slowlv and closed a big gap 111 the early running, but tired when called on for a final effort. DELANCEy closed a gap and was favored with racing luck for the entire way. J. J.
