CHIEF ATTRACTIONS OF WINDSOR RACING. Detroit, Mich., August 11. During the Windsor meeting, starting next Wednesday, there will be a stake race or .,000 handicap to feature each days program. The order of the running of these affairs is as follows: August IC Ferry Handicap, $.1,000 added; one mile and a sixteenth. August 17 Tccumseh Handicap, ,000 atlded; mile anil u sixteenth. August IS Michigan Handicap, for all ages, ,030 added; thrce-iiartcrs mile. August. 19 Windsor Double Event, for two-year-olds. ,500 added; five-eighths. August HI Canadian Handicap, ,500 added; one mile. August 22 Allies Selling Handicap, ,000 added; milt; and a sixteenth. August 23 George Hendrie Memorial Handicap, ,000 added; one mile. Saturdays arrivals brought the horse colony at the track across the river to 320 iiead and all are ready for the coming meeting. The late arrivals included the stables owned by J. K. Seagram. Sir John S. Hendrie and the Mirasol Stable outfit. The Seagram consignment is of eleven horses, among them being Galley Head. Gold Galore and Sturdee, all eligible to the Double Event. The Hendrie string embraced twelve head and came in charge of Ed Whyte. Other recent arrivals from Fort Erie include the racing establishments of D. W. Moore. E. G. Vi-vell. T. S. Fogg, T. P. Hayes and William Walker. Moore brought six head, including Arriet, Jack Reeves, Dill Simmons. American Express, Dixie and the imported William IV., which will be started for the first time in this country at Windsor. Much interest was displayed at the track over the arrival of Arriet. in view of the imported mares splendid performance at Fort Erie during the last week, when she met and defeated Top o th Morning and other crack sprinters and ran the three-quarters of a mile in 1:12 flat, the fastest time for the distance made at the meeting. Arriet is eligible to both the Ferry and George Hendrie Memorial Handicaps. Owner Moore makes no secret of his belief in the mares ability to capture at least one of these rich stakes. J. D. Edwards is another recent arrival at AViud-sof from Fort Erie with the horses racing under the name of the Mirasol Stable. Among them are Runes and Dlue Fox, the winner of the Edenwold last month. Trainer John Walters arrived Saturday and immediately took charge of George M. Hendries extensive string. He reports that all the horses arc in fine condition, and ready to do their lest. Among the horses that Tom Hayes has brought here are, Kinney, Floral Park, and the crack two-year-old Auriga, winner of several two-year-old races in Kentucky this year. She is regarded as an important accession to the ranks of the yoiithfuls stabled across the river. Her debut will be made in one of the two-year-old handicaps during the meeting. John Ferris, the Nashville turfman has all of his horses in good condition, the stable being headed by Harrv L.. regarded as the best sprinter seen at the recent Tijuana meeting. Other in the Ferris hand include Daoul. Zudora, Violet, Rhodes, Freeman, Alda. Vivandierre, and Magikon. Jockey George Molesworth, who finished third in the list of winning riders at Tijuana, is now engaged in galloping the Ferris horses and will ride for that stable at Windsor.
