The latter raced in the best going and moved up menacingly when entering the homestretch, but was forced wide and tired after getting to the leader at the eighth post. TOP O THE WAVE was prominent all the way and. linishiug gamely, outstayed RlFORD. RUCK-BOARD was shullletl back on the stretch turn, but finished with a belated rush under punishment and would have won in another stride. DECKMATE ran well and saved ground on all turns, but was tiring at the end. SORTIE raced wide throughout. ACAItADO had a rough race. MOXOMOY set the early pace fast, but quit.
