WISTFIL took the leatl at once and. after being bard ridden iu the early running, drew clear, then came wide into the stretch, but outstayed STRAIGHT FORWARD iu the filial drive. The latter raced in the best going and moved up menacingly when entering the homestretch, but was forced wide and tired after getting to the leader at the eighth post. TOP O THE WAVE was prominent all the way and. linishiug gamely, outstayed RlFORD. STARFIXCH began slowly, but came around the others with a rush 011 the last turn and took a long lead in the stretch, but tired from his early effort and just lastetl long enough to win. RUCK-BOARD was shullletl back on the stretch turn, but finished with a belated rush under punishment and would have won in another stride. DECKMATE ran well and saved ground on all turns, but was tiring at the end. SORTIE raced wide throughout. ACAItADO had a rough race. MOXOMOY set the early pace fast, but quit.
