FINE PATRONAGE FOR KENILWORTH. Great Crowd Journeys to tho Track and Is Rewarded with Capital Racing. Detroit, Mich., September -1. Over ten thousand people journeyed to Kenilworth Park today for the second day of racing at that new track. Speculation in all the races" was heavy. The feature of th afternoons racing, an overnight handicap at three-quarters, was won in brilliant style "by D. A. OMearas consistent filly Pesky. She got off well, rushed to tin; front and was easing up at the finish. The disappointment of the race was the poor showing of Sir Edgar, which ran coupled iu the betting with Pesky. This horse appears not to be at his best just now. Starter Frank McGinity placed Luther on the schooling list as a sequel to his unruliness on Saturday. Jockey T. McCullough was suspended for two days by the judges for cutting across with Lady Capricious iu the second race. Many new faces were seen at the track today. Among them w re Luke Le Blond and J. W. Arthur. The latter came over from Brant lord to see his horse Curious run in the first, race. II. G. Bedwell had a successful day. lie saddled three winners Blue Grass Belle, Pesky and Eddie T. Jockey A. C. Claver gained distinction by piloting three winners during the course of the afternoon. He is now riding in his best form. Jockey L. Gaugel arrived from Montreal to finish out the meeting here. Jockey T. Nolan came froni Saratoga and will accept mounts as a free lanc,e.
