CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Ben Davis has sold Port. Light, to W. 1. Orr. J. W. Panple has purchased from R. T. AYllson at private terms Glanaginty and Sable. J. O. Milam has purchased of K. L. Davis the yearling bay colt by Bryn Mawr Anne Evans, by Rossington. A. J. Joyner has taken the big barn formerly occupied by the Brighton Stable at Belmont Park, and it Is being closed in for winter use. Horsemen now racing at Dorval have promised support for the new Devonshire Park meeting and will ship there from the Keinptou Park track, while others will go to Toronto and then on to Windsor. Milam u few days ago shipped the yearling bay colt by Sweep Ellaugowaii dam of three winners to New York for the Inspection of George W. Loft and trainer Max Hirsch, subject to a contract that Loft would pay ,000 for the colt if he liked him and 500 for the option if he did not like him. Milam received a telegram saying Loft had bought the colt ami was muling the money. Milam lfought the colt a month ago from Messrs. T. J. and G. H. Clay for ,500.
