LATONIA raced well up from the start and saved ground on the last turn. HEMLOCK raced gamely and was going fast at the end. BASILIUS closed a good gap in the last quarter. BULLION ran poorly. KLEIN, after being saved under restraint for the first half, moved up rapidly after rounding into the stretch and drew out quickly in the last hundred yards. LIBERATOR also came fast in the last sixteenth and finished gamely. J. J. MURDOCK was hard ridden and set a fast pace for the first five-eighths, but tired and just managed to outstay DELIVER in the last stride. DELIVER raced into the lead in the stretch, but tiretl in the last sixteenth. The others were beaten oft-.
