STATISTICS OF AUSTRALIAN RACING. The list of winning owners and successful sires compiled for the Austraalsian Turf Register makes interesting reading, and a lady had the pleasure of owning the biggest prize-winner. This was Mrs. 13. A. Widdis, whom Patrobns credited with S,400 a splendid return on the part of a colt costing 1501 guineas as a yearling. Three New South Wales owners followed Mrs. Widdis. Thev were Messrs. D. U. Seaton. 1,085; G. Rarnett, .1,720, and W. D. illey, 0,590. The owner credited with most wins was A. II. W. Cunningham of Queensland, who, with fourteen different iiorses, scored -121 races. Unluckily for him the stakes accounted for were small, the total being ,110. The list of winners of over 2,500 is as follows: No. of Amount Owner. Wins. Won. Mrs. E. A. Widdis, Vic 5 ,400 I. U. Seaton. N. S. W S 51,585 G. Barnett, N. S. W 14 4:5,700 W. Dalley, N. S. A 5 12,000 Wallace has occupied a prominent position in the winning stallions list for many years, but this season was the first in which he actually finished on top, Patroba doing most on his behalf. Linacre has made rapid strides as a sire, while in regard to number of winners Bobadil and Malster were again prolific, only three separating them. However, Pistol has the greatest number of wins, 132, so that he, as well as Wallace, kept Carbine to the fore. The progeny of smother Carbine horse, Carbinier, recorded 74 wins, while other sons of the old Australian favorite scored as follows: George Frederick, 37 wins; Spearmint. 4; Flintlock, 19; Mous-queton, 31; Buudook. 22; Nevada, 7;Ballistite, 21; Mural. 14; Metford, 19 ; Fucile, 24, and Amber-ite, 20.
