THOROUGHBRED ASSOCIATIONS ATTITUDE. Lexington, Ky,, September 21. In the course of a statement sent out from New Orleans as having been made by Dr. George A. MaeDiarmid, president of the Rusiness Mens Racing Association of that city, the following appears: "The action of the Thoroughbred Horse Association at Lexington in instructing its members to participate in no racing in the Parish of Orleans or parishes adjacent thereto except such as is conducted by the Rusiness Mens Racing Association, was very gratifying to all our directors and stockholders." When this was brought to the attention of Secretary Thomas B. Cromwell of the Thoroughbred Horse Association, lie said: "The Thoroughbred Horse Association has not instructed its members to participate in no racing in the Paris of Orleans or parishes adjacent thereto except such as is conducted by the Business Mens Racing Association. It has not instructed its members at all in the matter. The members at the semi-annual meeting in Lexington September 9, resolved that the Thoroughbred Horse Association is opposed to a conflict in racing dates at New Orleans or elsewhere, and that in the event of conflict at New Orleans its assistance should be tendered the association responsible for the revival of racing in that city, and the directors were instructed to convey this information to the owners of the City Park race track. H. D. Brown, the general manager of City Park race track, and Mayor Martin Behrmau of New Orleans, have since made it known that there is to be no conflict of dates."
