ROSEMARY raced in closest pursuit to the stretch and tired, but withstood a challenge from RUTH STRICKLAND. VILEY was scant of speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. The latter was always ii close-up contender and hung on gamely in the final drive. LITTLE STRING raced into the lead, but tired near the end. CHRISTIE quit after going three-quarters in the lead.
