CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Christopher J. Fitz Gerald is on a trip to New Orleans. Jockey Kcogh is considering offers to ride during 1917 for the George D. Widener and Gifford A. Cochran stables. The stallion Last Coin, recently purchased by Cor-rigan and McKinney from James Butler, has been shipped from the latters East View Farm at Tarry-town, N. Y., to Kingston Farm in Kentucky. He was a fast and unbeaten two-year-old and has every right to succass in the stud. With reference to the report that a deputation from the Irish Turf Club will shortly wait upon Mr. Runcinian in connection with a proposed limitation of racing in Ireland, the Keener of the Match Book in Ireland is authority for stating that there is no truth in the rumor. On the appeal of the Lady Master, Mrs. Inge, five servants of the Atherstone Hunt have been granted six months exemption from military service. A letter from the war office stated that the director of remounts was seriously concerned about the maintenance of hunts, as hunting was necessary to encourago breeding and raisixig light horses for cavalry work.
