NOMINATIONS TO PIMLICO STAKES. Baltimore, Md., October 21. Many of the star thoroughbreds now in training will be seen under colors during the fall meeting at Pimlico, if the nominations made for the features may be taken as a criterion. When the entry lists closed nominations also were made for the Pimlico Nursery, to be run next spring. In this race twenty-three owners made nominations totaling seventy-eight. Kal Parr entered five, three being imported. Among those already given a name is George Washington, owned by the Quincy Stable. Thirty-one owners nominated forty-seven two-year-olds to the Walden, one mile, to be decided in November. Ital Parr lias entered The Belgian and Daddy Long Legs, the latter a recent purchase from Emil Ilerz. For the Bowie, twenty-six owners nominated thirty thoroughbreds. This is one of the features of the fall meeting at Pimlico, in which the horses will go a mile and a half. Three serial handicaps will be run, at three-quarters, one mil and forty yards, and one mile and an eighth. Sixty-eight nominations were made by forty-five owners. For the Pimlico Autumn Selling Stakes twenty-three owners nominated twenty-ninp horses. Three-year-old junipers will contend in the Elk-ridge Steeplechase, two miles, which has brought out twenty-two nominations by fourteen owners.
