rfr THIRTY BEST MONEY-WINNING TWO-YEAR-OLDS OF THE PRESENT YEAR 4. Of the thirty chief money-earning two-year-olds of 1910 in American racing only one was foreign bred. This was August Belmonts crack Hourless. At the beginning of the years campaign it was expected, reasonably, too, it seemed, that from the many choicely-bred two-year-olds from abroad a sulli-cient number of winners would develop to fairly divide honors with our native breds,. However, it turned out that few of them became sufficiently acclimatized to race up to the full measure of their natural endowments, so it fell to the products of our own breeding to practically sweep the boards in the theater of two-year-old racing. The honors of the year fell to Campfire and were well earned, but had Harry Kelly remained sound and in good form it is a question whether the latter would not have gained the crown instead of Campfire. Anyway, really good two-year-olds were in action and the thirty which won the most money are the following: Horse. Col., Sex. Pedigree. Owner. Sts. 1st. 2d. 3d. "Unp. Won. Campfire ch. c.
