MARY POWELL sprinted into a long lead and set a good pace to the homestretch, but was tiring at the finish. BILLY OLIVER closed a big gap and finished fast and gamely. BUT made up ground and was hard ridden through the last quarter. TRUMPATOR closed a big gap. OXWA, GRAND OPERA and KING MART showed speed, but failed to stay the route. STONEWOOD fenced well and easily outstayed SHARPSHOOTER when the latter challenged. The latter was a forward and game contender all the way. AVIATOR fenced well, but lacked speed. CHEVRON lost his rider at the twelfth jump. PROTECTOR his at the ninth. EUGENIA McGEE at the fourth and RELIANCE, TORRERO and MARTASHA theirs at the first. KENWORTHY ran out at the third. BLUE GRASS BELLE came through on the inside when entering the homestretch and drew awav fast at the end. GREENTREE raced well, but tired and just outstayed QUEEN OF THE SEA. The latter began slowly and was crowded back, then closed a great gap and finished fast. PRECISE and NAPOLEON finished close up. OPHELIA W. tired after setting a fast pace to the stretch.
