THIS YEARS RECORD OF THE STABLE WHICH INCLUDED 1 R0AMER IN ITS LIST OF RACERS j 4 - . Last year Andrew Millers stable won 3,860. This year it fell to 7,515. This difference was due to the failure of his great gelding, Roamer. Lacking nothing of his well-established ability to carry high weight and stay far, his racing seemed to prove that, in some small measure, he had lost the electric burst of speed that had so often brought him victory in former years. Only one victory in thirteen starts does not read much like Roamer, yet, that is his record in this years racing. Withal that, he was six times second in hard-fought finishes, carries with it the implication that he was also unlucky. Next years racing probably will reveal that lie is due for relief from his long held position as top weight in the high handicaps. A bit of luck fell to the stable when Ticket won the Tremont Stakes at the Aqueduct meeting, and later the "Wakefield on Handicap at Empire City. Hourless was one of those he beat in the Tremont. In the fall racing he was not less than twenty pounds worse than Hour-less. Still, he is a useful colt and may do well in the racing of 1917. The stables record for this year is: Horse. Col. and Sex.
