DEVONSHIRE PARK TO HAVE A CHUTE. New York, November 14. Trainer D. R. McDaniel will take a string of Grant Hugh Brownes horses to New Orleans next winter. The New Orleans section of the stable has not been definitely decided upon as yet, but it will probably include Crepuscule. King Herod, Canon Bridge and probably some of Mr. Brownes numerous yearlings, those -which give promise of coming early to hand being given the preference. Mr. Browne, while in Windsor, sold Jiis two-year-old home-bred fillv, Tippernry, by King Cobalt, to P. M. Civill. The sale was made just after the filly had run a good second. In common with all who have come back from the Devonshire meetings, trainer McDaniel is enthusiastic about this latest addition to the Canadian tracks. He says the construction of the track and its soil are simply ideal, and he has no hesitation in pronouncing it the finest race track in Canada. It is intended to build :i chute for mile races next spring, so that the horses will have a straight, half-mile to run from the barrier, and then finish the mile with only one turn.
