LAHOEE SADLY BEATEN AT TIJUANA. San Deigo. C-il., November 17. Guide Post, stealing a long lead in the first quarter, made every post a winning one in the San Ysidro Selling Handicap at Tijuana today. The mare had speed left at the finish and easily withstood John Grahams rush. Lahore raced in nearest pursuit to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. This being ladies day, there was an exceptionally large crowd present. President Coffroth lias moved up his opening time and shortened the time between races somewhat. He is now dickering with the Santa Fe and within a day or two hopes to get a time table that will care for the natural intlux of visitors from Los Angeles. Twelve books were in operation. The betting end of the sport is picking up rapidly and fifteen books are looked for before next Saturday. Word received here tells of the leaving of the Buxton and Suggs horses from Baltimore today. A special made up of forty-five San Franciscans arrived here today. They will remain for several I days.
