t : f I WHAT EDWARD TROTTERS SEVEN HORSES DID FOR HIM I IN THIS YEARS RACING j i X Edward Trotter had no George Smith in his stable to pile up wealth for him this year but in A. N. Akin he possessed a horse that few sprinters in the land could take liberties with He raced seven horses in all and each of thi3 small band took one or more races. A. N. Akin was by fur his best money earner. His sire,, Algol, was a tremendously fast horse and a noble weight carrier, which won east and west and has apparently had but little chance in the stud. Next to A. N. Akin in effective service was the Broomstick gelding, -Black Broom, which did a good turn for his owner when lie won the Prince Edward Stakes at Hamilton last July. His two-year-old Arravan raced well enough to suggest valuable service as a three-year-old in 1917. Altogether the record of this serviceable stable was: Horse. Col. and Sex.
