TWO-YEAR-OLD STAKES WELL FILLED. I New York, November 29. Record-breaking is the list of entries already received for the two-year-old stakes to be run at. Saratoga next August. Never in the history of any track in this country have the yearling entries been so abundant, according to Secretary McL. K. Macomber, James Butler and the AViekliffe Stable. In the five fixtures Mr. Macomber has !4, Mr. Butler 58, and the Wickliffe Stable 55 nominations. E. Herz was in the city today on his way to Louisville, where lie is going to make arrangements for the retirement of his good horse Short Grass. He has not yet decided at whose establishment in Kentucky he will place him, nor the fee he will charge for his service. "Mr. Herz will winter in Louisville and rest his entire stable.
