: THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN WOTTING HORSES OF THE j PRESENT YEAR i Of the thirty leading thoroughbred winners of the present year, five are now members of the stable of A. K. Macomber. although a comparatively small part. Of their winnings have gone to reimburse the enthusiastic Californian for his turf investments. Mr. Macombers quintet rank, respectively second sixth, thirteenth, fifteenth and twenty-second among the years winners, but of them only Star Hawk made all of his earnings in Mr. Macombers colors.
