BOWIE HORSES REACH NEW ORLEANS. New Orleans, La., December 4. Another big list of arrivals reached here from Bowie during Sunday and .tills morning. The turfmen found everything ready for their reception, and no confusion attended the housing of the many horses. In the consignment today were several of the higher grade of racers that, no doubt, will be frequent winners during the meeting. All the owners reported that their charges shipped in fine style and encountered good weather during the entire trip. The weather here is fine and the track in excellent condition for training purposes. The large contingent of advance racing followers already here presages a record number for the meeting. Among the new owners that came today were E. H. Garrison, J. H. Ownsby, C. C. Winfrcd, G. E. Chancellor, C E. Holland, F. E. Brown, T. E. Bray and John Powers. The latters consignment includes the crack Leochares. II. F. Newmans good mare Pan Zarcta is rapidly rounding into tiptop racing condition. Her long let-up since the Hot Springs meeting has apparently extensively benefited her. Jockey Frank Keogh, who was to have come here to ride next winter, telegraphed a change in plans and will remain in Washington. D. C, until time for him to report to the J. E. Widener stable, for which he will ride next year. There was much regret among the horsemen orer the news that Miller Henderson Is critically ill at Louisville, Ky. His horses here are in charge of ids brother Victor. There will be an abundance of jockeys here for the opening, and embracing some of the best in the country. Joseph A. Murphy, who will again be in charge of the racing, is expected here from his home in St. Louis next Wednesday.
