ENGLISH MARES ARRIVE AT LEXINGTON. Recent Importations of Frederick Johnson Sent to Beaumont Farm — Price Asked on Westy Hogan, Lexington. Ky.. January 27. — Five English mares arrived here today from New York, nauiedy Hey, 1rude. Pennsylvania and Keadeau. recent purchases of Frederick Johnson, which arrived on the Manhattan Thursday. They were- sent to Hal Price-Headleys Peauniont farm. Jueen Loch, purchased by ■Bail Herz. went to E. R. Bradlryi Idle Hour farm to be mated with Short Crass. Jack Adkins today put Kaux-Col and Leo Skolny in training at tin- Kentucky Assm iation course. Jockey Brady is here and will leave Monday for New York with S. L. Parsons Phosphor, which is to be tie head by W. H. Karrick. T. P. Hayea has taken up the two-year-old sister to John Ound. T. J. Rird. acting for Captain J. K. L. Ross. Montreal, has asked John 0. Whitlow for a price- on Westy Hogan. A. R. Hancocks latest purchase abroad is the gray filly Calamine by Spearmint — llauridina, by William the Third. Black Pine, a young stallion hy Rock Sand — Black Poplar, has been leased by John s. Barbae to I. C. Sloan, and will stand at New Boston, Illinois.
