THOROUGHBRED IMPORTATIONS DELAYED. New York, February 3. — Col. Phil Chinn and John Coyle, steeplechase trainer, are perturbed over the likelihood of shipping being curtailed between hen- and England. Col. Chinn was expecting to bring over another band of English thoroughbreds, and Coyle has been forced to put a stop ordi r on a big shipment of laceil bred in Ireland. Coyle has options on a number on the other side, and had expected that in the near future he would have most of them in this country. Colonel Chinn. who is now on his way to Kentucky, reported that his recent importations from abroad were coining around in good style, and that the several horses in his Kentucky stable also had been wintering well and soon would be taken up and prepared for the spring races.
