RACING OFFICIAL IN USEFUL OCCUPATION. London Snorting Life of January 10. says: "Mr. William Elliott Bu-hhy. Jockey Club official and clerk of th. coarse at Daaeaater and many other race meetings, appealed for exemption at Daaeaater Borough Tribunal last night. His appeal was supported by the race committee of tin- corporation, also by a letter from the managing director of the Newbury races. "The great importance of continuing racing in the interests of horse breeding was emphasized, and it was stated that appellant had only been passed for garrison duty at home. "Tin- tribunal decided that Mr. liushhy is us.-fuly employ.-d m his present occupation, and granted him exemption till March 31 next."
