HAPPENINGS IN BLUE GRASS STATE. Many New Members Added to Horsemen Association — Many Turfmen at W. S. Barnos Funeral. l.Xington. Ky.. March 3. — Fifty-two new members were added t i the Thoroughbred Horse Association at a meeting of the board of directors here today. O. H. Keene was appointed chairman of a committee to look after the interests of the association during the two meetings at Hot Springs. Letters from racing secretaries, in response to re-i|ii st from the association, indicate that many more races will be given this year for three-year-olds exclusively. It is rumored here that Harry Payne Whitney has a deal on in New York with the executors of the James B. Haggii estate for a big portion of Klemcndorf Farm. Jockey Morays today reported to J. C. Milam, for whom he will ride. Pre sident Charles F. Grainger of the New Louisville- Jockey Club, came here today to attend the funeral of William S. Harn-s. Nearly every turfman in this section was present at the- burial of this genial man. who for many years devoted much time and money in the thoroughbred breeding industry. J. S.
