W. S. KILMERS HORSES DOING WELL. Tiftecn Horses in Training Under Henry McDanicl at Gravesend Appear Promising. U.y Ed Cole. New York. April ." . — Willis ■aurpe Kilmer, one of the most recent aspirants for turf honors, has fifteen horses in training, in charge of Henry Mr-Daniel at Gravesend. Many of them are imported aad all are doing well. Mr. Kilmers eaten have not. as yet. been prominent, as the stable had paar representatives last year. This year promises improvement. Mr. McDaniel was always conservative in speaking of his horses and is reticent as usual, admitting nothing more than he thinks he ought to win races with the material he lias. Among his two-year-olds lie has colts by Back Sand, Fitz Herbert. Sweeper, Irish Lad. Ossiaii. Sundridge and The White Knight. If breeding is a true indication of ability, there art-few stables that can l« ast of better blood from the hire side. Like all other strings at Gravesend the Kilmer horses are not as forward as they would have been with more favorable weather conditions.
