GENERAL NEWS NOTES OF THE DAY. Officers of the Marine Corps have asked authority from Washington to have cards printed to 1m* issued to rejected applicants for enlistment. If approved, the cards will show that the applicants have proved their desire to serve their country and were barred only by physical disability. The Inited States flag was hoisted today for the first time over the residence of former Queen Liliuokulani.
