BELMONT PARK WILL BE READY. New York. April 19. — Belmont Park will be ready for racing in less than a month, in the opinion of the contractors who are renovating the grandstand, devastated last week by fire. Only the front part will lie used. This will seat nearly 7,000. This, with the field stand, which seats about 5,000 will accommodate a Decoration Day crowd, as there is plenty of standing room on the lawns. There will only lie two rows of boxes in the clubhouse enclosure and twenty-five in the grandstand opposite the finishing line. The administration building, which was destroyed by fire, will be rased and the secretarys office and jockeys* quarters built in the paddock close to the entrance to the track. It has not yet been decided whether the entire grandstand will be rebuilt after the spring meeting, much depending upon the future developments of racing.
