Mr. Bennington managed August Belmonts racing interests while Mr. Belmont was busy in tin const 1 action ef U.e first New York subway; he afterwards raced a stable of his own. among the stake winners he developed and raced were First Water, Poorhees, Rdaa Jackson and Ie Mund. Mr. Bennington waa regarded as one of the astute men of Use turf and his horses were always prominent in the winning column. Be first brought Frank ONeil. who was afterwards the leading jockey ia France, to the eastern tracks and caa trolled his services for two years.
