Won cantering; second and third driving. BEAM8TRES8 set a fast pace to the last eighth, where she took a long lead and won pulling up. JIM HOEY gained steadily and outstayed PECKSNIFF in the final drive. PECKSNIFF acted badly at the peal an. I began slowly, then closed a big gap early, but tired when the final struggle came. Start good and slow. Won handily; second and third driving. DO I BLET was saved behind the leader until in the tinal half mile, then closed up steadily and outstayed SUPERHUMAN in the final drive. SUPERHUMAN saved ground where possible and moved up gamely at the last fence, but tired in the final drive. TOP TIP MORNING took the lead at the start Bad held sway throughout, winning with speed in reserve. RIVERDALE was always in closest pursuit of the leader and ran gamely all the way. KINGS JOKED raced undT pressure in the early running and held PHILIPPIC safe through the last eighth. The latter ran well and met with minor interference in the first quarter. HWFA swerved badly and was eased up in the last quarter. NEVILLE II. and FBRNROCK were outpaced and were under stout restraint at the finish. 99 A Tf FOFRTII RACE— 5-8 Mile Straight. AMACKASS1N displayed excellent speed in pacemnking, but tired slightly in the closing strides. SFNROSE showed speed, but quit badly in the homestretch. ANNCHEN finished gamely under punishment.
