PHIL DWYER IS DEAD. New York, June 11. — Philip J. Dwyer, one of the most picturestpje characters connected with American thoroughbred racing died Saturday night. His colors, red with a blue sash, were carried by Home of the most famous horses ever raced in this country. Phil und Mike Dwyer, his brother, came from Ireland. Mike was the plunger. Phil was the conservative one. He built a fortune of ,500,000.
