CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Leamington, to which the American thoroughbred horse owes so much, is buried on the Brdeaheha Farm Bear Philadelphia, where the White Marsh Hunt Club holds its short amateor meetings. Former jockey Ted Koerner, who is associated with Charles Hills in the ownership of Reauty Shop, is at a loss to account for the way this mare runs. One time she will go to the front and apparently quit and then again she will come from behind and finish as gamely as the gamest. She nearly always runs one of those races that make turfmen figure what she will do at her next start, but she has proved a disappointment many-times. She will be raced at Latonia by Henry McCoulsky. The Alameda Stable, which was shipped from California to Kentucky is no more. A. J. Merle, whose wife owned the stable according to his statement, obtained the custody of Rodland, Sam Heck-ham and Executor through court proceedings from Max Gutter, who was listed on the program as being part owner of the establishment and trainer. Gutter refused to surrender the horses at first, but the court forced him to do so. While the case was being threshed out in court the horses from the Alameda Stable were not allowed to run.
