FLOUNCE began slowly, but saved much ground on the turns, wore thp leaders down in the lust eighth and won going away. REDLITA V, was far back in the first eighth and had to race wide, but closed a gap and finished fast. JESSIE ORMSBY set a fast pace and tired In the last sixteenth. FLASH OF STEEL moved into the lead when ridden strongly and held MONOTONY safe in the final drive. MONOTONY closed a big gap from a slow beginning and was going fast at the end. IRREGULAR ran well, but tired in the stretch. AVALTER II. PEARCE raced into the lead and quit. VAGABOND set the early pace, but retired after going five-eighths in the lead.
