LEGAL PROCEEDINGS TO ADJUST DATES. Montreal, Que., July 4. There is still every likelihood of the local racing situation being embellished by legal proceedings before the curtain rings down on July 31. With the announcement that the London Jockey Club had secured a license to race at Mount Royal track from July 24 to 31, comes the intimation that Kemptori course, which claims the same dates, will issue an injunction to stop this meeting from running, taking the :grounds that it is in contravention of tho provincial laws to conduct two meetings at one track within thirty days. Exception will also be taken, it is said, to the legality of the charter. In the meantime, part of the difficulty has been solved by definite declaration that Delorimier will race from July 10 to 23, thus avoiding a clash in dates with the other tracks which plan to race later in the month. It was reported yesterday that there would be a change in management when the Delorimier track staged its final meeting. A. Scott Ives, it was stated, would replace Roy Irving, who has not been in the best of health for some time past. Mr. Ives was previously associated with the management of Delorimier and is a large shareholder in the track.
