HASTINGS raced into. the lead on the hist turn, but tired near the end. NIB set the early pace, but fell back after going a half mile. AURUM finished close up and made a premising debut. OTHELLO was saved under restraint until rounding into the stretch, where lie came fast and outstayed AMAZON. The latter was forced back, sharply on the stretch turn, then came fast and probably whs best. SEDAN set a fast pace, had no mishaps and quit in the last eighth. HODGE, away forwardly, raced into the lead on the backstrcteh, but tired. slightly near the end. MANAGER WAITE ran u good race and had no mishaps. FAUX-COL ran well, but tired in the stretch.
