BANYAN, after racing in close pursuit of the pacemaker, wore hiin down in the final eighth and won drawing clear at the end. DR. CAMPBELL showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretch. LYNETTE, badly outrun early, closed a gap and finished with a rush. DUCHESS OF LIZWILL showed speed. OUTLAW ran as ir short. Scratched 29061 Trcntino, 105. Overweights Duchess of Lizwill, 2 pounds. BERT WILLIAMS sprinted into a long lead in the first eighth and was cantering at the finish. REPTON closed up steadily and outstayed MISS GAYLE in the final drive. The latter was a forward contender from the start and finished gamely. ANNIE EDGAR ran well. JACK WIGGINS quit and so did PHILISTINE. JACK HARE JR. set a fast early pace, but gave way when the winner challenged. FERN HANDLEY closed a big gap. STORM BOUND ran well to the last eighth. NORTH SEA ran well. Won handily; second and third driving. MARION GOOSBY, showing decided improvement, took the lead at once, set a good pace all the way and withstood RANCHERS challenge in the filial eighth. RANCHER raced in closest pursuit all the way and moved up menacingly in the stretch, but tired .near the end. BURGLAR ran well and out-gamed KING NEPTUNE at the end. The latter ran a good race. CORN BROOM took the lead at once and, drawing away while rounding the first turn, held the race safe all the way. AKELDAMA raced in closest pursuit and responded gamely when put under a drive.
