BROOMAALB began badly and ran wide all the way, but finished fastest of the leaders. ARISTOKULUS ran well, but was tiring at the end. DANCER was in close quarters in the final drive. NONESUCH tired. PEEP SIGHT set a good pace to the last turn. STAR CLASS raced in closest pursuit of the leader and gained rapidly under punishment in the closing strides. MISS BONERO, away forwardly, held on gamely -iu-tlMi. liiml. Iiivo and. outstayed QUIETUDE.. The latter saved ground on the turns, but did -not race to her best form. EMPRESS was under restraint until rounding the last turn, but quit in the stretch drive. BALLAD was saved in the early running, then gained slowly in the homestretch and outstayed the tiring DICK AVILLIAMS. The latter had no mishaps. AVATER AVITCH quit in the stretch and was eased up.
