CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF. Fully 6,000 people witnessed the racing at Mount Royal Park Saturday. Jockey J. Mulcahy rode three winners at Thorn-cliffe Park Saturday, the closing day of the meeting. The final time of the second race at Empire City Saturday should have read 1:01 instead of 1:00 M as printed. Jockey A. Claver, who was suspended on the opening day of the Mount Royal Park meeting, has been reinstated. More than 700 horses are stabled at Saratoga with many mora to come after the close of Empire City and the Canadian tracks. The steeplechase colony at Saratoga is a big one and some excellent sport over the fences is looked for by the lovers of cross-country racing. Omar Khayyam worked a mile in 1:39 over the Saratoga track Saturday morning, going the half iu 48, five-eighths in 1:01 and the three-quarters in 1:13. The colt had up 124 pounds and pulled up in grand shape. Jockey W. L. Anderson, who broke his arm at Maisonneuve Park last Tuesday, will go to his home in Chicago to rest, and when he recovers from his injury, will go with the G. W. J. Bissel, stable to Cuba for the Havana meeting next winter. .
