JESSIE ORMSBY moved up rapidly after entering the homestretch and easily passed LITTLE PRINCESS in the last eighth. FERN HANDLEY began slowly, but moved up steadily on the outside and linished fast and gamely. LITTLE PRINCESS tired in the stretch after showing the most early speed and setting. a fast pace. GOODWOOD, showing sudden improvement, was saved until rounding the last turn, from where he moved up and easily passed AMPERE II.. but had to be ridden out to outstay FLEURON II. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast. CONFLAGRATION began slowly, but made up ground and finished close up. AMPERE II. set a good pace to the stretch and gave way. . GARISH SUN was saved hack of the early leaders to the stretch, then closed up steadily and outstayed OLD POP in the final drive. OLD POP raced well up all the way, but tired slightly near the end. OLD RELIABLE, ofT slowly, closed a big gap and was going fastest of all at the finish. TARTAREAN tired after racing into the lead. GALA WATER closed a big gap. TEA CADDY was messed about in the early running and closed a gap with a rush through the last quarter and ran as if best. ETRUSCAN showed great early speed, but tired. BETWEEN US closed a big gap.
