LEXINGTON FAIR RACING PROGRAM. Throe Races for Thoroughbreds Daily, with Values Increased Over Preceding Years. Lexington, Ky., July 30. Running races are to be a big feature of the annual exhibition of the Blue Grass Fair Association, held August 0 to 11, inclusive. Sewell S. Combs, chairman of the committee appointed to look after the speed department, today announced that Messrs. William II. Shelley, R. L. Baker and G. D. Wilson will be the judges; Jmaes P. Ross, racing secretary and Harry Morrissey, starter. The purse offerings will be increased, though the number of races will remain the same as last year three each of the six days. The total distribution will be over ,000. Secretary Ross is waiting until the close of racing in Canada and the arrival here within the next two or three days of a band of horses before arranging the program. The Blue Grass Handicap, $.r00 added, for three-year-olds and over, one and one-sixteenth miles, is to be the feature race, to be run Thursday, August 9. In other years the Canadian tracks afforded ample occupation for horses of the calibre that will make the sport here, but since racing has closed, will come here to live until the regular season In Kentucky is opened September 12. Already there are at the Kentucky Association track more than the usual number of horses for this season of the year.
