CURRENT NOTES OF THE TUHF. Jockey Butwell rode one of his great races Friday at Saratoga, when he landed Stromboli a winner in the Schuylerviile Handicap. His masterly finish helped the Belmont horse to score a nose victory. Thomas C. McDowell has a fa6t filly in Olive Wood, a daughter of his promising young sire, The i Manager. Olive Wood has won her last two starts, disploying a fine turn of speed on both occasions. The two-year-old Papp, which won the Flash Stakea at Saratoga on th onnlng day, and tha United States Hotel Stakea yesterday, was bred 1 by J. 0. and G. II. Keene and sold as a yearling to G. W. Loft for ,700. So far this year Pepp has won for llr. Loft the sum ot 7,6S6.
